The RECO Institute Sober Living Team in Delray Beach

The RECO Institute team works directly alongside our clinical staff to ensure clients’ safety and well-being, both at our Residential Housing Facilities and while attending our intensive outpatient program.

A professional and empathetic group of case coordinators, behavioral health technicians, and residential managers, the RECO Institute team consists of highly motivated and qualified staff members. Through consistent utilization of experiential methodologies and application of problem-solving skills, the team works tirelessly to provide a stable home environment for clients working to maintain sobriety.

Our founders have designed RECO Institute’s Residential Housing Facilities to accommodate the highest standards in sober living. No detail is too small, and each feature facilitates a safe and emboldening environment for those seeking recovery from addiction.

Meet Our Team

David Niknafs Founder of RECO Institute Sober Living in Delray Beach

David Niknafs

founder

The founder of RECO Intensive, RECO Institute, and RECO Trust, David works with a tireless enthusiasm to create a more progressive approach to addiction treatment. A native Atlantan, Dave was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth, and was later forced to reconcile with the reality that his life would be cut short as a result of his disease. By the age of 14, he had become apathetic toward his own health, and had begun abusing illicit drugs on a daily basis.

In 2008, after combatting several years of intense drug addiction and countless setbacks in his recovery, Dave committed himself fully to achieving sobriety. Following an excruciating two-month detox period, he completed 70 days in rehabilitation, before relocating to a long-term sober living facility in Delray Beach. Today, he continues to make his home in South Florida as he thrives in his recovery, and also serves as a resilient advocate for the sober community.

After both attending and working for multiple treatment programs himself, Dave acknowledged an intrinsic need to bridge a significant gap in the shadowy domain of early recovery. Determined to raise the bar for transitional care, he took his experience in the field and launched his own Residential Housing Facilities, known as the RECO Institute. From there, his dream program only continued to grow.

Through the evolution of RECO Institute, RECO Intensive, and RECO Trust, Dave and his team have endeavored to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment that allows clients the opportunity to reclaim for themselves the life that addiction has stolen.

As he maintains his own sobriety and positively impacts the sobriety of others, Dave believes deeply in the potential of each client—past, current, and future—who enters RECO’s program. Little by little, he recognizes their individual revolutions toward recovery, and celebrates in their success.

A proud leader of team RECO, in his spare time Dave enjoys playing softball, sampling different cuisines, cementing his status as a certified movie buff, and surfing the Floridian waves.

Brian Greenblott

Director of community outreach

With 15 years in recovery himself, Brian exemplifies the possibilities that are created in overcoming addiction. A compassionate and perseverant spirit, he brings with him over ten years of experience in the addiction and mental health field. As the Director of Community Outreach, he develops and nurtures connections with the community at-large, facilitating positive experiences for all those involved with RECO.

On a daily basis, he coordinates referrals, cultivates marketing strategies, and oversees alumni services and event planning, ensuring that everything is executed with clients’ and families’ best interests in mind. In the dedicated journey of his own recovery, he finds his interactions with clients—and his ongoing involvement with their sobriety—to be the most rewarding aspects of his job. Outside of his role at RECO, Brian enjoys spending time with his son, perfecting his serve on the tennis court, and pursuing the best cups of coffee in Delray.

Christopher Pasquale Director Of Operations at RECO Intensive

Christopher Pasquale, MA, MACP, ICADC

Director of operations

A member of team RECO since our founding, Chris wears multiple different hats within his role as Director of Operations. An architect of the program, he aids in designing personalized treatment plans, and also facilitates weekly group sessions, including Motivational Mondays and A Hero’s Journey. Dynamically invested in each client’s progress, he is consistently responsible for ensuring smooth transitions, addressing client concerns, and maintaining communication with all members of the team.

With over eight years of prior experience working in treatment, he holds a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, and is an International Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. After observing the trauma of addiction within his own family, he became compelled to help others experiencing similar crises. Today, he remains steadily aware of each client’s struggles and successes, and utilizes his training and experience to motivate growth. Beyond his role at RECO, Chris is also a pastor, and enjoys spending time with family and playing and watching sports.
